Pricing FAQ

What does "wet rate" mean?

Wet means fuel is included in the hourly aircraft rate. You pay $140/hr for the Remos GX and fuel is covered — no separate fuel invoice, no surcharges.

How is flight time measured?

Aircraft rental is billed by Hobbs meter hour — the aircraft's internal timer that runs only when the engine is on. You're not charged aircraft time for the pre-flight walkaround or post-flight paperwork. However, CFI time covers the full lesson: pre-flight briefings, the flight itself, and post-flight debriefs are all part of the instruction, so instructor fees apply to that full block of time.

Do Time Builder packages expire?

Yes — packages are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. All sales are final and non-refundable. These packages are designed for committed pilots who fly consistently, so if you're ready to put in the hours, you'll have plenty of time to use them.

Can I fly solo without a CFI?

Yes, once you've been signed off for solo flight by your instructor. Solo time is billed at the aircraft wet rate only — no CFI charge.

Are there any other fees?

Not from us. FAA written tests, checkride examiner fees, and study materials are external costs you'll handle directly — we'll point you to what you need.

How do I pay?

Discovery Flights are paid through FlightCircle (our secure booking portal). Training packages and ongoing instruction — contact us and we'll walk you through the options.
