Founded by Aviators.
Built for Aviators.

Fly Eagle Sport was founded by military aviators who believed flight training shouldn't cost a fortune — and that the best instructors are the ones still doing it for real.

From the Flight Deck to the Flight School

Fly Eagle Sport was founded in 2015 by Tyler Sepp, an active Army National Guard aviator who flew UH-60 Blackhawks before transitioning to fixed wing. He built FES on a simple conviction: flight training should deliver the same FAA certifications as the big-name academies without the price tag that puts aviation out of reach. By training in modern Light Sport Aircraft and keeping overhead lean, FES lets students focus on flying instead of financing.

Tyler and his wife Valerie — both U.S. Army veterans and active members of the Arizona Army National Guard — now run FES together. The discipline, commitment to safety, and straight talk you get from every FES instructor are the same values both owners live by in uniform. What started as one pilot's vision at KGEU has grown into a full-service school offering every program from Sport Pilot through CFII.

The Affordable Flying Solution

Traditional flight academies can cost over $100,000 before interest. FES was built to challenge that model — covering every certification from Sport Pilot through CFIII, using modern Light Sport Aircraft that cut operating costs without cutting corners on training quality. Transparent pricing, honest communication, and instructors who actually care about your progress. We'll help you chart the most efficient path to your goals, whatever those look like.

What Sets Us Apart

Significantly Lower Cost

Same FAA certifications as the big-name academies — at a fraction of the cost. Students routinely save tens of thousands of dollars at FES without sacrificing instruction quality or checkride preparation.

Technically Advanced Aircraft

Our fleet features modern avionics and glass cockpits that elevate both safety and training quality. Under FAA regulations, our Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) fulfill the complex aircraft requirements for commercial certification — a full career-track program in one fleet.

Military Safety Culture

Safety isn't a policy here — it's a habit built in military aviation and carried into every lesson. You learn to think like a professional pilot from day one.

In-House Maintenance

A licensed A&P mechanic on staff is a genuine rarity at small flight schools. In-house maintenance means faster turnarounds, issues caught before they become problems, and aircraft you can trust.

Efficient Aircraft, Lower Fuel Cost

Our aircraft burn roughly half the fuel of traditional trainers while matching their cruise speeds. That efficiency passes directly to you as lower hourly wet rates — less cost per hour in the air.

Flexible, Student-First Scheduling

We work around your life. Morning before work, weekends, or lessons squeezed between commitments — our CFIs adapt to your schedule. Aviation should fit your life, not consume it.

Veteran-Owned & Operated — and Still Serving

FES is owned and operated by Tyler and Valerie Sepp — both U.S. Army veterans, both currently serving in the Arizona Army National Guard. Discipline, integrity, and an uncompromising commitment to safety aren't marketing language here. They're the same values both owners live by in uniform every day. We don't just talk about those standards. We fly by them.

The Instructors Behind the Training

Every FES student flies with a CFI invested in their success — not just their logbook hours. Military backgrounds, real-world flight experience, and genuine enthusiasm for aviation. Our licensed A&P mechanic Hayden Ace Bradley keeps the fleet airworthy in-house, so instructors trust what they're flying and students are never grounded longer than necessary.
